Instructions for Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000 and Outlook Express 4, 5, & 6

If using a domain name other than @swva.net, you must enter your domain name in the Server name fields as follows:
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.yourdomainname.com (or .net, .org, etc.)
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.swva.net

Step 1: Open Outlook Express
Step 2: Click with the left mouse button on [Tools] located near the top, to make a menu appear.
Step 3: On this menu, click on [Accounts.. (or Services for Outlook 98/2000)] from the Tools menu.

Outlook Express 4:

Outlook 98, 2000 and Outlook Express 5 & 6:

Step 4: Choose your swva.net account and click on the [Properties] button. A new dialog of options should appear.
Step 5: Click on the [Servers] tab. The available options should change.
Step 6: Change only the Server information as follows. ("username" is your email address, "Your Name" is your name, and the password will only show up as asterisks)
Step 7: Check 'My server requires authentication'

Outlook Express 4:

Outlook 98, 2000 and Outlook Express 5 & 6:

Step 8: After selecting 'My server requires authentication' Click on the 'Settings' button next to the checkbox.
Step 9: Under Logon Information select 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'



Step 10: Click OK.
Step 11: Click OK again then Click Close. Your setup is complete.
